Rommel Ruzol did his bachelor’s degree in nursing at Centro Escolar University in Manila Philippines in 1993. He worked in an intensive care unit in Virginia where he joined the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) and American Nurses Association (ANA), obtained his critical care certificate (CCRN); and in a rehabilitation facility in California. He got fascinated by seeing how patients adapt to their chronic kidney problems and switched his focus in nephrology in 1999.
He moved to Las Vegas in 2002 and met the KSOSN team. He has worked with them since then and seen their expertise, experience, and dedication. They are role models in advanced practice and becoming reliable and safe in providing well-coordinated care.
Rommel loves working with the newborns, kids, adults (and their family) whom he oversees the progress of their dialysis (hemo, peritoneal, CRRT) and coping mechanisms. Kidney injury can be missed without the expertise in nephrology care team and the very important collaboration with primary physicians and other specialists.
Mr. Ruzol has two daughters- a registered nurse, and a speech therapy college student. His wife (a nephrology registered nurse) and him continue to go different countries and learn their ways of life.
