BIO
LaDonna Mills graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and went on to complete a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. She received her board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016. Her first encounter with medicine was at age 16 as her oldest brother was a patient in the intensive care unit. After that experience, her dream was to become a registered nurse.
LaDonna is a Las Vegas native and has worked in critical care for over 10 years. She had worked with the providers at KSOSN during the early years of her career and found KSOSN to have an exceptional team. She feels that they are not only experts in the field of nephrology, but they are also compassionate providers.
She is a dedicated provider who works as a team in managing care of her patients. She strives on collaboration with the medical team to optimize the patient’s outcome. She feels that utilizing a team-based approach will give patients an improved quality of life.
LaDonna is fascinated with the pivotal role of nephrology in all clinical conditions. To participate in a role of preventing further disease in acute renal insufficiency or giving a patient with end-stage renal disease a new perspective on life is what she looks forward to in the field of nephrology.
She is member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She lives in Henderson, Nevada with her husband and two children. She loves to snorkel and is looking forward to becoming certified diver.
