Jhouleen Tiamzon graduated from Purdue University Global for her MSN and is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She worked in ICU and experienced managing patients with chronic kidney diseases and other kidney disorders, and patients who are on HD and CRRT. It made her curious in managing these types of patients and inspired her to be a part of the team that can assist in improving their conditions and their quality of life.
Jhouleen has been working as a nurse for 6 years and worked in the ICU for almost 4 years. She started working as a nurse practitioner in a primary care clinic in November 2021, where she managed Veterans with disabilities and chronic diseases like HTN and diabetes. She moved to Las Vegas to pursue her nursing career. She has worked with some of the healthcare providers in KSOSN and had a great experience working with them. She has seen how well they managed their patient’s condition and also how they collaborate with patients in making healthcare decisions. This has encouraged her to be part of the KSOSN team.
She is compassionate in what she does and wants to be able to an advocate to her patients especially educating them more on how to provide a better care to their kidneys and prevent complications associated with their diseases. She works well with other healthcare providers and is interested in learning more from them to be a better provider and to also expand her knowledge when it comes to handling patient with kidney diseases. She is interested in taking care of patient on hemodialysis and how to manage electrolyte and base imbalances. Since she worked in the ICU, it made her curious on how to manage patients with chronic diseases like CKD.
She was born and raised in the Philippines and moved here in the US in 2012. She used to live in California but moved to Las Vegas to work as a nurse. She loves baking and traveling with her family and friends. She can speak Tagalog, English and some basic Chinese.
