Camivel Carvajal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Antillean Adventists University in Puerto Rico and a Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Her passion for nephrology was sparked by her older brother’s battle with Wilms tumor and the excellent care he received. In 2017, she began her career in dialysis as a technician, becoming a nurse in 2018 and earning her master’s in 2022.
Camivel moved to Las Vegas to join the DaVita Acutes program, where she developed a love for dialysis. She joined KSOSN due to its values of kindness, community involvement, and teamwork.
Dedicated to compassionate and reliable care, Camivel listens to and supports her patients, empowering them to make informed health decisions. She values collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care.
Camivel is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, the American Nurses Association, and the Nevada Nurses Association. Born in the Dominican Republic, she speaks Spanish and enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and unique foods.
