Audrey Isnit graduated from College of Southern NV for her Associate’s Degree in Nursing and went on to complete both her BSN and Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Grand Canyon University. She is board certified through American Association of Critical Care Nurses, as well as American Nurses Credentialing Center.
In addition to working and being exposed to the most ill and complex kidney patients, her choice of being in the field of nephrology was also influenced by a nephrologist, who was also her mentor during her clinical immersion practice. Audrey was exposed to a diversity of patients and clinical conditions that made her rotation dynamic, challenging, and intellectually stimulating. She also believes that this field offers valuable opportunities to manage patients across the outpatient, inpatient, post-transplantation, and critical care spectrum. The continuity of care provided within this field is paramount for the quality of care provided to many of these patients.
Audrey has special interests within nephrology include acid-base disturbances, electrolyte disturbances, neoplasms and infections of the kidney, and primary kidney disorders. She joined KSOSN due to the comprehensive care and management of kidney disease they provide; as well as the commitment the providers has with optimizing their patients’ quality of life.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. She also enjoys playing tennis and reading.
