Alouisa did her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Australian Catholic University in 2007, with minor in international public health in Cologne, Germany and Hon-Atsugi, Japan. She has experience delivering patient care and case management to patients with kidney disorders from acute care setting to ambulatory care. She completed Master of Science in Nursing, subspecializing in Education in 2018 at Western Governors University. She graduated from Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner program at Touro University, California in 2021.

Alouisa loves working with patients and getting to know them individually and helping them achieve their health care goals. She would like her patients to feel empowered and well informed about their condition. She feels that the field of nephrology is intellectually stimulating and challenging with its diversity, diagnostic challenge, and cross-specialty knowledge, and when one is receptive, it is truly rewarding to be able to help patients and make a difference, which makes it more meaningful.

She decided to join KSOSN because of their commitment to healing and the high standards and values that the providers uphold to provide the best care for all patients. KSOSN is committed to delivering exceptional patient care to improve the lives of patients with kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes and other related health conditions.

She is dedicated to finding ways to bridge the gap in health disparities. She is always looking for opportunities to have a preventative and holistic approach with her patients and maintaining balance for optimal health. She is a conscientious clinician with a patient-centered approach and believes in the importance of active listening, empathy, cultural competence, addressing barriers and providing patient education to manage kidney health effectively, and maintain adherence to treatment. She also believes it to be vital to work closely and collaboratively with other providers to deliver positive patient outcomes.

Her interest in nephrology lies in managing various kidney disease states including acute kidney injury, acid-base disturbances, fluid and electrolyte disorders, anemia, hypertension, mineral bone disease, nutritional concerns, and chronic kidney disease. She is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Alouisa loves baking, oil painting, horseback riding, fly fishing and spending quality time with family and friends. She volunteers with American Red Cross and Preventing Cervical Cancer Globally (PINCC), previously served in Guatemala and Belize.
