Michael Steven S. Lim graduated from Far Eastern University, Philippines for his BSN. He completed his Master of Science Nursing from Centro Escolar University, Philippines. He graduated with his Master of Science Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019 at Charles Drew University.
Michael decided to pursue a career in Nephrology when a beloved family member succumbed to kidney failure. There has been a steady increase in AKI and CKD cases in the medical field motivating him to learn more and to help address this issue. He would want to help patients understand the disease process and to improve their quality of life. When he started his job as a dialysis nurse in Las Vegas he met and worked with the Nephrologists of KSOSN and inspired him to pursue a Nurse Practitioner path in Nephrology. He believes that KSOSN have an exceptional team of medical experts that collaborate with each other to provide a tailor fit treatment plan for each patient. They provide quality and excellent service throughout the years.
He is very dedicated and thorough and will be working with other medical providers to provide the best and optimum treatment plan that is best suited for each patient needs. He is a compassionate Nurse Practitioner who will work hard to provide the best treatment that the patient needs.
Michael has experience in Hemodialysis (HD), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT). He has been a Dialysis Nurse for 5 years and worked with patients with AKI, CKD and patients who are on dialysis.
He was born and raised in the Philippines before migrating here in the US in 2014. He is happily married with 1 daughter. He loves traveling, photography and cooking. He speaks English, Tagalog and Bicolano (a local dialect in the Philippines).
